I resonated with this post. a

As primary teacher I often talk to my students about growth mindset and the importance of challenging ourselves, creating new pathways in the brain. To remind myself and practice what I preach, I have challenged myself early this year to experiment and learn different embroidery techniques. It’s amazing what one learns about themselves when we let down our guard and be vulnerable. Thank you for sharing x

There is something about this that feels so cleansing and liberating!?- like the very act of diving into this art is the gateway to more inspiration and magnetism. I am excited to see what unfolds next!

It’s hard to be a beginner! But I love pushing myself to remind myself to let go of the outcome. To put myself separate from the end and stay present. So proud of you to challenge those old beliefs and make new ones for yourself 🩷🩷🩷

"To put myself separate from the end and stay present." 🔥 This is absolutely where (and how) the magic happens!

I do believe that when I was supposed to be standing in line to be bestowed with artistic ability I was probably off chasing butterflies in a garden somewhere! I believed my brother was blessed with artistic ability (talented artists in his younger days) and I missed out.

Years ago I challenged myself in a folk art class and with determination, over many months, I learned to paint the flowers and butterflies of my ‘I’m not artistic’ story.

Rewriting the stories we tell ourselves about who we are is bloody hard - I’m really happy for you that you had a crack at rewriting one of your beliefs and even happier that you shared it with all of us here. Xx

You and I must have skipped out on the same line to hang out with the butterflies and flowers! 🦋 🌸 💫 Thank goodness I stayed in the writer/storyteller line, because I seem to be on a lifelong journey of writing and rewriting my story!
